1200 calories is NOT some magical NUMBER to lose weight!

This was a question in regards to my post about “under eating!” “….but I’m dieting!!”
I have received more messages than I can count about calorie deficit and weight loss.
Every human requires a different number of calories to lose, (calorie deficit), maintain (calorie maintenance)and gain (calorie surplus) weight.
1200 and below (even 1400-1500) is a random number that people THINK they need to eat to lose weight. IT IS NOT! THAT, for most adults…..IS under eating!
If your goal is weight loss-you do not have to under eat some random, super low amount of calories to lose….you have to calculate the number of calories right for YOU!
